Ithaca College Television (ICTV) is one of the nation’s most respected student-run television organizations and the world’s oldest student-run cable TV station. Founded in 1958 and housed in the Roy H. Park School of Communications, ICTV produces over twenty original shows each year across news, entertainment, sports, and scripted programming. Its content airs on local cable, streams online, and has earned national recognition from organizations such as the College Broadcasters Inc. (CBI), the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), and the New York State Broadcasters Association.

With more than 400 student volunteers, ICTV operates like a professional television station, giving students hands-on experience in real-world production environments. During my time at Ithaca College, I contributed to two ICTV productions: Newswatch, the station’s live news broadcast, and Looped In, a student-produced entertainment and culture show.
